
KIT-WJL1
Head Unit Connection: The KIT-WJL1 supports iDatalink's Direct T-Harnesses (sold separately) for direct connection to select iDatalink Serial Port compatible head units, replacing the wiring harness that comes with your aftermarket stereo (some hardwiring may still be required). If connecting to an aftermarket head unit that does not support an iDatalink Direct T-Harness, you'll need to cut off and remove the 20-pin black connector from the KIT-WJL1's harness and splice each wire directly to the aftermarket radio's corresponding wire.
Flashing Module via Weblink Desktop: The iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 will need to be loaded with correct firmware before installation. The included USB cable plugs into your computer and allows you to "flash" the Maestro RR with the appropriate firmware to prepare it for installation. Simply download Weblink Desktop (for Windows and Mac) onto your computer to access the appropriate firmware.
Factory Fit & Finish Dash Kit: The included dash kit features a features rubberized coating and texture to match your Jeep's dash. The dash kit must be used with an iDatalink compatible aftermarket Double-DIN (4") radio with a shallow mounting depth.
Retained Features: The following factory features (if applicable) are retained when replacing your Jeep's factory radio with a compatible iDatalink Serial Port head unit using the Maestro RR Car Radio Replacement Interface module and KIT-WJL1 installation kit.
- Factory Amplifier: Retains factory premium audio amplifier with turn-on, fader, gain adjustment, DSP control, a speed compensated volume.
- Steering Wheel Controls: Factory steering wheel controls are retained with two function buttons and expandable radio functions.
- Media Hub: The included media hub retains your Jeep's factory USB-A ports and Aux input, as well as adds a HDMI jack. Your compatible aftermarket head unit must offer corresponding rear-panel USB-A ports, Aux input, and HDMI jack for connection.
- Climate Control & Vehicle Settings: Climate display and control is accessible through a compatible aftermarket head unit's touchscreen. You can also access and modify vehicle settings through a compatible aftermarket head unit's touchscreen. In addition, you can control your vehicle's RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) through your compatible aftermarket receiver's touchscreen.
- Secondary Vehicle Display: Secondary vehicle display is retained (if factory equipped) with audio information and hands-free information.
- Park Assist with Front Camera Control: Park Assist chimes are retained through the use of the KIT-WJL1 (factory backup camera is not retained). If you add an aftermarket front camera (sold separately) to your idatalink compatible head unit that is equipped with dual camera inputs, the vehicle's factory auto camera switching feature is also retained.
Note: The KIT-WJL1 does not retain your Jeep's factory backup camera.
Extra Features: The following Extra features are added when replacing your aftermarket head unit with a compatible iDatalink Serial Port head unit using the Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module and KIT-WJL1 installation kit.
- Vehicle Info: Tire Pressure Display, Battery Voltage Display, Read/Reset Engine Codes, and Door Open Status with Warning.
- Gauges: Selectable Performance Gauges, "Track Pack" Gauges, and Read/Reset Check Engine Codes.
Outputs: The KIT-WJL1 provides Navigation, Accessory Power, and Illumination Outputs to make installation simpler.
- Navigation: Parking Brake, Reverse Light, and VSS (Vehicle Speed Sense).
- Accessory Power Output: 12V/15A Accessory Power Output
- Illumination Output: Illumination Output
- allows you to install an iDatalink-compatible shallow-depth double-DIN radio in your Jeep
- also requires the Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module
- includes dash kit, wiring harness, and antenna adapter
- includes replacement media hub with 2 USB ports, HDMI jack, and 3.5mm AUX jack
- retains steering wheel audio controls, on-screen climate controls, and cluster display
- retains control of factory vehicle settings
- does not retain factory backup camera
