52CVTDF102
Comp Woofer: The Kicker 52CVTDF102 enclosure is loaded with one 10" CompVT series subwoofer. The Kicker subwoofer features a stiff injection-molded polypropylene cone with 360-degree back bracing. The ribbed, UV-treated surround and cone are attached using Kicker's signature red stitching, providing an outstanding bond. Full perimeter venting allows air to move freely around the motor for excellent heat management, while a UniPlate backplate and pole piece provide outstanding thermal management for the voice coil.
Down-Firing Enclosure: The sealed down-firing enclosure is made of heavy-duty MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) with extensive internal bracing, providing exceptional acoustic efficiency and deep powerful bass. The enclosure is covered in sleek black carpeting for added protection and a refined look. Its compact, down-firing form allows it to be mounted in cargo areas, or under seats, while its heavy-duty construction lets you stack cargo on top of it without affecting the bass quality.
Speaker Terminals: A single pair of spring-posts are mounted on the underside of the enclosure in a recessed terminal cup, and will accept pin connectors, single banana plugs, or bare wire up to 8-gauge.
Power: The single 2-ohm CompVT subwoofer can handle 180W-375W RMS (750W peak).
Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker CompVT speakers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum low-bass response. The suspension system is very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. Once broken-in, the subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.
