KIT-JGC1

Head Unit Connection: The KIT-JGC1 supports iDatalink's Direct T-Harnesses (sold separately) for direct connection to select iDatalink Serial Port compatible head units (including Kenwood, JVC, Alpine, Sony, and Pioneer radios) - replacing the wiring harness that comes with your aftermarket stereo (some hardwiring may still be required). If connecting to an aftermarket head unit that does not support an iDatalink Direct T-Harness, you'll need to cut off and remove the 20-pin black connector from the KIT-JGC1's harness and splice each wire directly to the aftermarket radio's corresponding wire.

Flashing Module via Weblink Desktop: The iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 will need to be loaded with correct firmware before installation. The included USB cable plugs into your computer and allows you to "flash" the Maestro RR with the appropriate firmware to prepare it for installation. Simply download Weblink Desktop (for Windows and Mac) onto your computer to access the appropriate firmware.

Factory Fit & Finish Dash Kit: The KIT-JGC1's dash kit features a factory grade fit & finish to match the contour and color of your Jeep Grand Cherokee's dash. It comes with selectable silver or bronze trim-bezels (bronze trim-bezel is pre-installed). The dash kit will fit select Double-DIN Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, & Pioneer aftermarket radios with an iDatalink Serial Port.

Retained Features: The follow factory features (if applicable) are retained when replacing your aftermarket head unit with a compatible iDatalink Serial Port head unit from Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, or Pioneer using the Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module and KIT-JGC1 installation package.

• Factory Amplifier: Retains factory amplifier (if equipped) with amplifier turn-on, speed compensated volume, digital fader, DSP settings, and gain adjustment. The KIT-JGC1 also supports vehicles without factory amplified systems.
• Climate Display & Control: The factory climate display and control can be accessed from the touchscreen of your compatible iDatalink aftemarket head unit.
• Vehicle Settings: Access and modify factory vehicle settings through the compatible aftermarket head unit's touchscreen.
• Secondary Vehicle Display: Secondary vehicle display is retained (if factory equipped) with audio information, hands-free information, and internal navigation.
• Steering Wheel Controls: Retains factory steering wheel controls with two functions on each button for standard and expanded radio functions. Your aftermarket radio must also support steering wheel control retention.
• Backup Camera with Park Assist & Guidelines: The iDatalink Maestro KIT-JGC1 will retain your vehicle's factory backup camera, if your iDatalink compatible Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, or Pioneer receiver is equipped with composite video camera input. Parking guidelines and park assist chimes are also retained in the vehicle. I
• RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment): The KIT-JGC1 can retain your vehicle's factory RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment), if your iDatalink compatible Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, or Pioneer receiver is equipped with an AV output. The KIT-JGC1's harness features a male 3.5mm AV connector. If your iDatalink receiver features a composite video and stereo RCA audio/video output, you'll need an AV minijack-to-RCA adapter (sold separately).

Note: The KIT-JGC1 does not retain U-Connect.

USB/Aux Module: The KIT-JGC1 comes with a media module that consists of a USB-A port, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm Aux input. The USB//Aux module replaces the factory media module and installs in the dash to provide easy access to your compatible iDatalink receiver's rear-panel USB-A, USB-C, and Aux inputs (all input types are not applicable to all compatible iDatalink receivers). You will need one USB-A extension cable and/or USB-C extension cable, as well as one stereo minijack cable or stereo minijack-to-RCA cable to connect from the media module to the rear-panel USB and Aux inputs of your aftermarket receiver (no cables are included with the KIT-JGC1).

Extra Features: The following Extra features are added when replacing your aftermarket head unit with a compatible iDatalink Serial Port head unit from Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Sony, or Alpine using the Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module and KIT-JGC1 installation kit.

• Vehicle Info: Tire Pressure Display, Battery Voltage Display, Read/Reset Engine Codes, and Door Open Status with Warning.
• Gauges: Selectable Performance Gauges, "Track Pack" Gauges, and Read/Reset Check Engine Codes.

Outputs: The KIT-JGC1 provides Navigation, Accessory Power, and Illumination Outputs to make installation simpler.
